About this session

Data storytelling is important in analytics because it allows analysts to communicate insights and findings from data to a wide range of audiences in a way that is understandable, engaging, and memorable.

In this panel, we will start by discussing what is the importance of data visualization in storytelling in different industries and what are some common or hidden problems, challenges, and pitfalls surrounding it. We'll discuss with the panel their personal experiences, breakthroughs, pressures, and frustrations as well as successes and failures. We'll talk about the design story that goes behind visualization and understand how one can improve one's visualization skills. Finally, we'll talk about some dos and don'ts and discuss different visualization tools including their pros and cons.
